Botox for TMJ pain

Additionally, Botox works in tandem with dental appliances and treatments aimed at treated the root cause of the pain. Botox’s mechanism of action is stopping nerve endings from releasing certain signals; in this case, blocking the transmission of pain signals.

Dr. Cohen can also adjust the injection sites based on each individual needs. This personalized approach ensures that every patient receives a treatment plan designed to address their individual headache pain and maximize relief. Dr. Cohen also serves as a Botox injector instructor for Allergan (the makers of Botox), giving injection workshops both in New York City and around the country.
